Calgary Soca

Calgary's Brother's United Soccer team is putting on a fund raising dance called Soca vs Reggae . It happens on Sat. May 7th. at the Nigerian Hall. Music by Love Harmony, Konsequence Sound and Edmonton's DJ Diamond. Personally, I'm looking for an all Soca night but this one might be worth a 'check out'.  For more info check out the Brother's United event page on FACEBOOK

Easter Sunday night Kees had his way with the crowd at Amnesia in NYC.  The band performed a bunch of crowd favorites including various Soca classics plus their own hits for 2011.  Video by Julian from Islandmix.com

"Big Up" to Tundaclap and the team for the events that went on this weekend. As expected the Jump-Up-Kings, Jester and KidKut did their thing. Unfortunately the Calgary Soca staff was booked at other events this weekend so we ALL missed out, but from the looks of the comments on the promoters page, this one looks like it went off just fine. If/when we get a look at some of the pics or video, we'll post them for you. For sure, we'll see you at the next event.
